The deputy head teacher of one of Brighton’s biggest schools has been charged with having and making child porn.
Ken Browne, 60, was deputy head at Dorothy Stringer High School in Loder Road, Brighton, until his arrest in July last year.
Browne, of South Row in Blackheath, South East London, is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Friday 12 November.
He will face six charges of making indecent images and six counts of having indecent images.
The six charges of making indecent images relate to an allegation that he downloaded pictures from the internet and saved them on to a memory stick, according to Sussex Police.
At the time of his arrest he was also one of 25 British teachers who had been chosen by the Foreign Office as an ambassador for the pupil exchange project British schools in Europe.
