A taxi driver was attacked by two women at the East Street taxi rank, one of whom smashed him over the head with a bottle.
At around 11.05pm on Sunday (July 27), a taxi driver was stood talking to a colleague at the rank when he was punched and hit over the head with a glass bottle. The victim received a deep cut on his forehead which required hospital treatment.
A 22-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and assaulting a police officer and a 28-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault. Both women from Brighton have been bailed until September 4 while investigations continue.
