A pensioner has gone missing after a shopping trip to Brighton.
Sussex Police this evening issued an urgent appeal asking anyone who sees Gordon Clark, 78, to get in touch.
Mr Clark, from Iden Street in Hampden Park, Eastbourne, suffers from dementia.
He came to Brighton with his wife Anne on the number 12 bus and was last seen in the Churchill Square shopping centre in Brighton at 4.20pm.
Sussex Police said: “An extensive search of the area and the seafront from Black Rock to Hove has so far failed to locate him and police are widening their hunt to include his route home to Eastbourne.
“However, it is not believed he would have been able to make to journey home without assistance.”
Inspector Jason Cummings described Mr Clark as a high-risk missing person and urged anyone who was aware of his whereabouts to call 0845 6070999.
He said that Mr Clark was white, 5ft 3in tall, heavily built and balding with grey hair.
He was wearing a grey-blue jumper with a green collar and light jeans.
