Three men arrested in connection with the murder of Stefan Welch are being held in prison while they await a trial.
The three men are Sean Cirus Iran, 21, his brother Navid Iran, 23, and their father Babak Iran, 44, all of St Richard’s Road, Portslade.
Sean Cirus Iran has been charged with the murder of Mr Welch, 37, of Oriental Place, Brighton.
He and his father and brother have been jointly charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in relation to the death of Mr Welch.
The three Fishersgate men appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court today when they were remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday (15 September).
Mr Welch’s badly burnt body was found in undergrowth at The Dyke Golf Club just outside Brighton and Hove on Saturday 4 September.
Post-mortem tests suggest that he was killed by a blow to the head.
