Thousands of people enjoyed Hove Carnival in Hove Park this afternoon (Monday 27 May).
The sunny weather helped draw big crowds to the annual Whit Monday bank holiday event.
The Martlets Hospice helped organise the event for the first time, working with the Hove Lions Club, which has run the carnival for the past 40 years.
The Martlets said: “Thanks to everyone who came to Hove Carnival today. What fantastic weather and great atmosphere.”
The family friendly event includes a funfair, the miniature railway, dozens of stalls, a music tent and arena displays, including a dog show.
Organisations taking part included East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and Brighton and Hove St John Ambulance.
