City College Brighton and Hove is holding a series of “assessment days” to help young people wanting an apprenticeship.
Nicole Bass, a recruitment consultant for the college’s Apprenticeships Service, said: “There are actually many more openings for apprenticeships than young people realise.
“So these assessment days are providing a fantastic opportunity for aspiring apprentices to come along and prove that they’ve got the kind of qualities that employers are looking for.”
Assessment days are being held over the next few months, including tomorrow (Wednesday 1 May).
They are themed to cover sectors such as building, car repair and maintenance, hospitality, digital media, childcare, hair and beauty, customer services, business admin and health and social care.
Those attending can find out about current vacancies with local employers and receive help writing their CV.
They can also have a mock interview and learn more about what mentoring is available.
For more information on the assessment days, contact City Apprenticeships on 01273 667771 or email cityapprenticeships@ccb.ac.uk and attach a CV.
