Veteran pop star Cliff Richard is to perform at the County Ground in Hove in June next year.
Sir Cliff, 72, will bring his Midsummer Nights series of shows to the Sussex county cricket ground on Saturday 15 June.
Tickets for the show – called Still Reelin’ and A-Rockin’ – went on sale at 9am this morning (Sunday 9 December).
The singer, who first had a single in the charts in 1958, said: “I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be performing next summer.
“I want to put on a real first-class show for my wonderful fans who’ve supported me throughout the years so I’ll be singing all the classic hits.”
Those hits include The Young Ones, Living Doll, Bachelor Boy, Summer Holiday, Congratulations, Devil Woman, We Don’t Talk Anymore, Miss You Nights, Saviour’s Day and Mistletoe and Wine.
Sir Cliff has sold more than 250 million records around the world and has had more than 120 top 40 hits.
He also sang with the Shadows and starred in a series of films.
Dave Brooks, the chief executive of Sussex Cricket, said: “We are delighted to have secured such a high-profile concert for 2013 to build on the success we had in 2011 with Sir Elton John and 2012 with JLS.
“The County Ground is becoming established as a leading outdoor venue in the South and we are sure that Cliff Richard will prove to be another huge success.
“Bringing acts of this quality and standing to the city is a real coup and we look forward to another great day out.”
