A 16-year-old boy from Brighton has been arrested after a man was attacked and left with a fractured skull.
The boy was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm in an attack in a car park off Oxford Street in Brighton.
He has been released on police bail until Monday 16 July while officers carry out further inquiries.
The victim, a 30-year-old man from Brighton, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital after the attack, which happened just after 10.30pm on Monday (4 June). He has since been released.
Detectives investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses.
