Two youths robbed two men in a Brighton street and hit them with a piece of metal.
The youths stole the men’s mobile phones and cash in Elm Grove, Brighton, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Sussex Police said: “There was a group of around 10 people standing nearby during the incident.”
The men – aged 22 and 23 – were approached at about 3.30am on Sunday by the youths who demanded their mobile phones.
Sussex Police said: “When the men refused one of the youths hit them with the metal object, which police are still yet to identify.
“The 23-year-old was hit on the left shoulder and the 22-year-old around the back of the neck, causing him considerable pain.
“The men handed over their phones and a small amount of cash.”
The youth with the metal pole is described as 5ft 1in to 5ft 6in tall with a slim to medium build. He looked about 14 to 16 years old and was wearing a hooded jumper.
The other youth is described as 5ft to 5ft 8in with a slim to medium build. He was also about 14 to 16 years old. He had short blond hair and was wearing a blue and white or green and white checked shirt.
