A crash on Brighton seafront has left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
The accident happened at a crossing near the Palace Pier on Friday evening.
The 31-year-old pedestrian was at the crossing opposite the Pitcher and Piano bar in King’s Road, Brighton, when he was struck.
The accident – at 10.25pm – involved a Toyota Avensis which was travelling westbound along the seafront.
The pedestrian, from Canvey Island in Essex, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
His condition was described as stable.
The driver of the Toyota – a man aged 53 from Polegate – was unhurt.
