Two men have been attacked after being racially abused close to Brighton seafront.
The victims, aged 18 and 22, are from Saudi Arabia.
Sussex Police said that the pair were walking down South Street on their way to the seafront clubs when a group of about four men shouted racist abuse at them.
The two men confronted the group but ended up being physically attacked and suffered cuts and bruises.
PC Leonie White, from the Brighton and Hove Response Investigation Team, said: “The victims, who were out enjoying the Brighton night life, are very shaken by this whole experience.
“Racist incidents like this are taken very seriously by Sussex Police and will not be tolerated.”
The suspects were described as white and in their mid twenties.
A 32-year-old Brighton man arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault has been released and faces no further action.
The incident took place late on Friday 21 October or early on Saturday 22 October.
PC White urged witnesses or anyone with information about the incident to contact Sussex Police on 0845 6070999 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
