By Tim Hodges from the Amex Press Briefing
Craig Mackail-Smith told Brighton and Hove News this morning that the Albion players love playing in front of a full house at the Amex and that the noise levels compare to the deafening atmosphere he experienced in Alicante on Tuesday evening.
He is also the proud owner of Gerard Pique’s shirt. After travelling around Europe in the last five days the Albion record signing was back in training today and looking forward to Saturday’s match against Hull City.
Inigo Calderon is hopeful Albion get back to winning ways very soon and how he wishes he could play at the Valley as he thinks he needs to get a goal or two.
Finally it was Gus Poyet , the Albion manager, told us Vicente will play on Saturday and that Buckley won’t but the latter may be available on Tuesday but more likely the Monday after against West Ham.
He also said that today (Thursday) was decision day on trialist Darren Carter but he wasn’t exactly what he was looking for although he had many good qualities.
Finally we were told both Adam El Abd and Tommy Elphick were at least ten days away from first team training. But that could change.
