A broken down bus had to be towed from North Street this afternoon.
A Brighton and Hove bus was seen being attached to a tow truck, while traffic queued up behind it from around 3.30pm today.
Some bus services terminated at the Old Steine, although no official service disruption notice was issued.
The high street was busy with pedestrians and vehicles in the run up to Christmas.
It was surely self-explanatory and did not need the “Sorry, I’m not in service” sign to be turned on
Hmm, interesting comment to make.
While it be obvious when the tow truck is on site, what about while it is awaiting recovery ?
Do you want it to show a destination that it isn’t going to ?
If only the Wise Men in the Transport department hadn’t have narrowed North St….
Come to think of it while Reply button, like the ‘bus, has broken down, perhaps it did need that not-in-service sign illuminated so that potential passengers did not take it for another one going at full-pelt on its rear wheels along New Church Road and waking up passengers by braving the potholes.
I hope that the tow truck was low emissions to be in North Street !!
Exempt, same as emergency services
Hardly news.. every bus and truck company has vehicles that break down regularly. B&H buses are towed in everyday. Many are used 24/7.. the news on this site has become really poor recently.
Still way better then the argus
Eh, it seems to have been lurching towards Argus levels of reporting and fact-checking since lockdown.
No traffic just buses!
