An investigation has been launched after a woman was shot with a gel capsule gun from a passing car.
The woman was walking on Brighton seafront at 10.20pm when she was shot.
A police spokeswoman said: “No injuries were sustained and an investigation into the incident is underway.”
Gel guns or blasters are sold legally in the UK, but usually only with an age restriction and with warnings not to shoot animals or people.
