A third floor window pane smashed onto a pavement on Brighton seafront, miraculously avoiding hitting anyone.
The window pane fell from the Grade II listed Clarendon Mansions at about 3pm on Sunday, landing on the pedestrian crossing to the west of the Palace Pier.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue said: “We were called at 3.17pm on Sunday 9th May to attend a dangerous structure on East Street, Brighton. Crews from Preston Circus attended.
“Glass had fallen from a third floor window on to the street below. Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform to ensure that the windows were secure.”
