UPDATE Samir Hirani has been found safe and well in Hove this afternoon (Saturday 13 March).
Police have issued a public appeal for help finding a missing pensioner from Hove.
Officers are growing concerned for the welfare of 68-year-old Samir Hirani, of Tisbury Road.
Mr Hirani said that he was going out shopping but has not been seen since.
Sussex Police said that he was vulnerable and that they were concerned for his welfare.
He went out between 8.45am and 10am today (Saturday 13 March).
Police described Mr Hirani as an Asian man, with a white beard.
He was believed to be wearing dark trousers and a purple coat.
He has links to Eastbourne and Leicester – and has been known to walk alongside major roads.
Police appealed to drivers to look out for him..
