A woman was sexually assaulted as she walked home in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Part of The Level, behind the cafe, was cordoned off as forensic officers worked at the scene yesterday.
Police today appealed for witnesses.
The 21-year-old victim was approached by a man who then attacked her sometime between 3.30am and 5.30am.
Detective Inspector Vickie Maroki said: “We are investigating the circumstances of this incident and the victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
“We would like to hear from any witnesses or from anyone who has CCTV or dash cam footage which captured the incident.
“We have stepped up patrols and if anyone is concerned or has any information please speak to the officers in the area.”
