A woman has been charged with attacking a 60-year-old man in the street in Brighton at the weekend.
Two other people have been arrested and released under investigation after the attack in Duke Street on Sunday evening (13 October).
Sussex Police said this afternoon (Thursday 17 October): “A woman has been charged with assaulting a 60-year-old man in Duke Street, Brighton.
“The victim was reportedly kicked and punched by a group of people at about 8.35pm on Sunday (13 October) and had liquid poured on him.
“He was taken to hospital to be checked over and was released.
“Three people were arrested on suspicion of affray.
“Dana Hooper, 24, of George Williams Mews, Portslade, was charged with common assault and released on bail to attend Brighton Magistrates’ Court on (Thursday) 7 November.
“A 31-year-old man and a woman aged 32 who were also arrested on suspicion of affray.
“They have been released under investigation.”
