A man arrested following an armed raid on a Brighton house has been released by police as the investigation continues.
The Royal Navy bomb disposal unit was sent to Richmond Road yesterday lunchtime following the pre-planned raid on Monday night.
The road was sealed off while officers and police dogs entered the house at about 9pm on Monday as part of the intelligence-led operation.
Sussex Police said today: “A 61-year-old man from Brighton, arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life or enable another to do so, and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a valid certificate, has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.”
