A man has been arrested after a police chase through the centre of Brighton on Friday evening (4 October).
A light-coloured Audi A3 crashed into several parked cars and police cars after being spotted along the A259 seafront road and before the chase ended in Queen’s Road.
Sussex Police said on Friday night: “Early on Friday evening (4 October) police were alerted to a suspected stolen vehicle – an Audi A3 – entering Brighton on the A259.
“It failed to stop for officers and prior to being abandoned in Queen’s Road it made contact with several parked cars and police vehicles.
“No one was hurt and the suspect vehicle was recovered.
“A man who ran from the scene was detained nearby and inquiries into the incident are continuing.
“A 30-year-old man from Liverpool has been arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal property.
“He currently remains in police custody.”
