Sussex Police issued a public appeal for information after a man died in a Hove flat overnight.
Part of Cambridge Road was cordoned off as police continued their investigation.
This morning the force said: “Police are investigating the death of a man in Hove.
“Emergency services were called to a property in Cambridge Road, Hove, at 3.45am on Sunday 4 August.
“A man was treated by ambulance crews but sadly died at the scene.
“His death is being treated as unexplained at this time.
“Officers remain at the scene.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact police quoting serial 33/4.”
