Police have arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of raping a woman in the Royal Pavilion Gardens in Brighton.
Sussex Police said: “Detectives investigating the rape of a woman in her twenties near Brighton Pavilion on Saturday 8 June wish to thank members of the public who have contacted police with information.
“As a result a 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
“He was detained on Saturday (15 June) and is currently in police custody awaiting interview.
“Officers are still keen to hear from anyone who may have relevant information concerning this incident but who have not yet come forward.
“They are asked to contact police online or phone 101, quoting Operation Cobalt.
