Have you joined the world’s most important race? It’s your last chance to join the Race for Life at raceforlife.org.
Join today and get 30 per cent off the Brighton Pretty Muddy event, using the code: MUDDY19.
After 25 years of being a female-only event, we are excited to be inviting everyone in the area – women, men and children – to join us at the start line in 2019 to help beat cancer sooner.
We’re urging mums, dads, nans, grandpas, brothers, sisters, friends and workmates to show their support by joining the Race for Life.
It’s a perfect example of everyday people doing an extraordinary thing – uniting in a common cause to beat cancer.
In Brighton, there will be the choice to join Pretty Muddy or Pretty Muddy Kids on Saturday 29 June or the 5k or 10k on Sunday 30 June.
Race for Life Pretty Muddy is our brilliant 5k muddy obstacle course which will have you scrambling over the A-frame and crawling through the mud pit.
The kids love this one too and, with a supervising adult, can join Pretty Muddy Kids which will see them having fun with friends, all the while helping to raise valuable funds for life-saving research.
Jenny Ainsworth, Cancer Research UK’s Brighton Event Manager, said: “Our Race for Life events are fun, colourful, emotional and uplifting. They help people with cancer by raising money for research, including clinical trials which give patients in Brighton access to the latest treatments.
“To make a significant difference in the fight against cancer we need to harness as much energy and commitment as possible – so what better way than involving everyone in the community in our events.
“You don’t have to be sporty to take part. You don’t need to train or compete against anyone else. All you need to do is go to the Race for Life website, pick your local event, sign up and then have fun raising money in whatever way you like.”
The Brighton route takes you along the paths of the beautiful Stanmer Park, with a few inclines to challenge you and create a great sense of achievement once you have completed the course.
Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. Your support, through events like the Race for Life, is what helps us continue our ground-breaking work to see more people surviving cancer.
We don’t break records. We beat cancer.
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life is a series of events raising money for research into all 200 types of cancer.
