Chelsea 3 Brighton & Hove Albion 0
Albion made it through a tricky fixture at Stamford Bridge with most of the playing staff and pride intact.
Goals from Olivier Giroud in the first half and two more from Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek after the break gave Chelsea the win.
Solly March, who went off injured, Anthony Knockaert and Yves Bissouma all had chances for Albion.
The Seagulls can now prepare for the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday (6 April).
It will be the club’s first appearance at the stadium for 36 years and only Brighton’s second ever appearance at this stage.
