Something brand new is going down on London Road, Brighton on Sunday 24th March between Midday and 6pm. Ross Harper is bringing a new event to Brighton called “Beth”.
‘Beth’ will primarily be a FREE ENTRY day time Sunday club headlined by Ross with occasional guests and will take place on the fourth Sunday of each month at Presuming Ed Coffeehouse, 114-115, London Rd, Brighton, BN1 4JG.
The venue…Believe it or not, Presuming Ed Coffeehouse actually sell beer! As well as coffee, cakes and sandwiches. The place has totally funky decor and some unique little chill out rooms including an “Escape Room”.
The ‘Beth’ music policy is under a tight rein with a specific focus on long DJ sets, the vibe will be centred loosely around House music in all its many forms.
Who is Ross Harper?
Ross started promoting successful events some years ago in both London and Brighton filling out large venues such as The Brixton Mass, Concorde 2 and The Zap (for those who remember). But this success did not satisfy a deep hunger in Ross to get under the skin of the music. So he gave up promoting and started DJing.
From here Ross expanded his outlook on life and went into academia and studied music for 5 years in order to get to the nuts and bolts of what makes it all tick. Ross graduated with a first class degree and then started City Wall Records, a label which has seen over 100 releases and garnered support from many A-List DJs including Dubfire, Laurent Garnier, Danny Tenaglia and Dave Clarke to name a few.
Ross’s own productions are rich and varied with his most accomplished release ‘Pink Boots’ being regularly hammered as part of the warm up DJ set for the Depeche Mode ‘Delta Machine World Tour’.
So head on down to Presuming Ed Coffeehouse on Sunday 24th March between Midday and 6pm, for coffee, beer and some decent house music sounds.
