A man has appeared in court in Brighton this morning (Friday 22 February) charged with murdering 22-year-old Abdul Deghayes.
Daniel Macleod, 36, of Gipsy Road, south London, appeared by video link before District Judge Tessa Szagun.
He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth, address and nationality.
Macleod was charged with murder and having cocaine with intent to supply.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Monday (25 February).
Mr Deghayes was found with stab wounds on Saturday (16 February) near the bottom of Elm Hrove, Brighton.
He died early on Sunday (17 February).
