Two people were treated in hospital after a stabbing during an aggravated burglary at a house in Hove.
A 22-year-old man was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with a knife wound to one of his legs.
A 26-year-old woman suffered a cut to her head.
Sussex Police cordoned off the scene at the corner of Goldstone Crescent and Edward Avenue, Hove.
The force said: “At 5.20pm on Thursday (3 January) police were called to a house in Goldstone Crescent, Hove, after two men were reported to have entered the address, demanding money and assaulted two occupants before running off with stolen jewellery and getting into a small dark blue or black VW or Audi car, which is believed a broken rear nearside passenger window
“A 22-year-old man at the address sustained a knife wound to his leg and a 26-year-old woman sustained a cut to the back of her head.
“Both were treated for their injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and were later discharged.

An ambulance attended the incident which was the subject of a continuing discussion on social media yesterday.
