Brighton & Hove Albion 1 Arsenal 1
Albion came back from going a goal down after seven minutes to grab an important point against a strong Arsenal team.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put the Gunners ahead after several Albion defensive errors involving Bernardo, Leon Balogun and Dale Stephens.
Aubameyang curled a precise effort past Maty Ryan.
The same striker earlier forced Ryan into a superb back-pedalling save.
It was Aubameyang again scything through the Albion defence who forced Ryan into another excellent one-handed save, getting down low to keep out a goalbound shot.
The Seagulls equalised after Davy Propper propelled a long ball over the Arsenal defence and Jurgen Locadia rounded the keeper and fired the ball into an empty net.
Brighton had a host a half chances in the second half, the best of which saw Bernd Leno push the ball around the post.
Albion next take on Everton at the Amex on Saturday (29 December) and stay 13th on a respectable 22 points at the mid-point of the season.
