A safe and a cash till have been found dumped in Brighton, Sussex Police said today (Monday 22 October).
The Master Lock safe has been forced open. The electronic cash register is a Casio.
Detectives suspect that both items were stolen but do not know who from.
Sussex Police said: “Police are trying to identify the owners of a safe and a cash till which were found dumped in a lane behind Surrenden Road and Varndean Road, Brighton.
“Detectives believe they have been stolen and the safe has been broken into.
“Anyone who recognises the items or has any information about them should contact police online or ring 101 quoting serial 281 of 18/10.”
