Prior to this Glenn Murray suffered a sickening clash of heads with Frederico Fernandez. Murray looked out cold and was ferried off to a local hospital.
It was backs to the wall for Albion after the goal. Lewis Dunk and Shane Duffy were immense and Maty Ryan commanding in is area and making some crucial saves.
Yves Bissouma and Ali Jahanbakash both had chances to wrap the points up for Albion before the end.
But the Seagulls hung on for three points and propel themselves up to 12th in the Premier League.
