Radio Reverb has started a crowdfunding campaign to buy a new transmitter.
With reference to the takeover of Brighton broadcaster Juice by Britain’s biggest commercial radio company Global, Radio Reverb’s fundraising and sponsorship chief Ella Gray Thomas said: “Local independent radio in Brighton is getting smaller but Radio Reverb is getting bigger.
“We want our listeners to help us raise the £5,500 we need to purchase a new transmitter, update equipment and ensure the Brighton and Hove community still have a voice.
“Support can take the form of a donation or helping us to spread the word by telling your friends, family and colleagues or by sharing it on social media. Or all three.
“Anything you can donate will make a huge difference to both Radio Reverb and the local community.
“Even small donations will go a long way and help the Radio Reverb team to continue to bring our unique, creative and community driven programmes to the airwaves.
