Brighton & Hove Albion 3 Manchester United 2
The super Seagulls beat Manchester United at the Amex for the second successive occasion.
First-half goals from Glenn Murray and Shane Duffy inside 30 minutes put Albion in command.
Romelu Lukaku pulled one back for United.
Pascal Gross then won and converted a penalty to put Albion 3-1 up.
Albion had to reshape as captain Lewis Dunk had to be replaced by Leon Balogun for his Amex debut.
In the second half Fred and Anthony Martial had good chances for United.
Maty Ryan made a great save from Paul Pogba.
Deep into injury time Duffy conceded a penalty which Pogba converted to make it a slightly more respectable scoreline for United.
But it was Albion’s day. They have never scored three against United previously – although they would have done if Smith had scored!
The Seagulls currently sit 11th in the Premier League one place behind United but six places ahead of Arsenal.
Albion take on Liverpool at Anfield next Saturday (25 August).
