Albion won their final pre-season match of the season, with a hard-fought victory over French side FC Nantes.
Tomer Hemed put the Albion in front after great work from Anthony Knockaert.
The Seagulls has other good chances to increase their lead.
Valentin Rongier was looking impressive for Nantes and forced Albion World Cup keeper Maty Ryan into some good saves.
Pascal Gross doubled the Seagulls’ lead in the second half, with Knockaert again involved.
Bernardo, on his Amex debut, looked useful for Brighton and appears to be a great find.
Ali Jahanbakhsh and Yves Bissouma also made their Amex debuts as substitutes
Rongier fired home the visitors’ consolation with 10 minutes left.
Albion open their Premier League campaign at Watford at 3pm next Saturday (11 August).
