A woman was attacked outside a Brighton pub before a good samaritan stepped in and helped her to safety.
Today (Tuesday 26 June) Sussex Police released security camera footage of two men suspected of assaulting the woman.
The force said: “Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in St James’s Street, Brighton.
“They would like to speak to two men caught on CCTV in relation to the assault outside the Black Dove pub at 8.55am on (Friday) 11 May.
“The 27-year-old woman was waiting for a taxi when she was approached by two men.
“The first man was abusive to her and grabbed her arm. The second man was also abusive.
“Another man intervened and walked the victim away to safety and she got in a taxi.
“The first suspect pictured on CCTV is white, 5ft 9in, with mousy brown gelled back hair and was wearing a light coloured top, a yellow fluorescent jacket, black trousers and white trainers.
“The second man is white, thin, aged in his thirties, with light brown, gingery messy hair and was wearing black clothing.
“If anyone recognises the men or has any information about the incident, please contact police online or ring 101 quoting serial 674 of 11/05.”
