Five people were injured and a house damaged by a series of car crashes in Brighton and Hove over the weekend.
A car smashed into the side of a house in Surrenden Road, leaving the woman driver with minor injuries, shortly before 6.30pm on Saturday evening.
The fire service made the vehicle and scene safe, while an ambulance crew treated the woman at the scene before taking her to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for further checks. No arrests were made.
On Sunday at 6.38am, emergency services were called to an overturned car in Marine Drive, Brighton
A 32-year-old man from Rottingdean was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit. Paramedics assessed and treated one patient before taking them to the Royal Sussex.
A fire crew from Roedean made the scene safe and the road was reopened at 8.07am. The 32-year-old man was later released under investigation.
Later that morning, at 8.13am, another car overturned at the Southwick tunnel on the westbound A27.
Police closed one lane until 10.07am while fire crews from Hove and Brighton made the scene safe.
Ambulance crews in two cars and two ambulances attended the scene. Two patients were treated before being taken to Worthing Hospital. There were reports of further patients at the scene.
Finally, to round off a busy weekend for city firefighters, a crew from Hove were called to a house in Amesbury Crescent at 7.35 on Sunday following reports of a cat trapped under decking. The cat was released.
