A quiz night for local businesses raised more than £7,000 for Brighton children’s charity Rockinghorse.
More than 200 people in 29 teams took part in the fundraising quiz which was held at the i360 on Brighton seafront.
The Easter-themed quiz was hosted by Gareth Sheppard, from Quiz Host UK, and sponsored by letting and estate agency Leaders.
The evening raised £7,606 for Rockinghorse through ticket sales as well as a lucky dip and raffle held on the night.
There were rounds of questions on Easter trivia, films and Brighton fact or fiction.
And a karaoke round had teams singing to score points, with air guitar and dance routines earning bonus points.
The team from digital agency Search Seven, from Hove, took the trophy – and the bubbly – for their winning tally.
Rockinghorse events fundraising manager Hannah Seltzer said: “A huge thank you to everyone who attended our annual Rockinghorse spring quiz.
“We’re so grateful for the support received and to our event sponsors Leaders. A fantastic amount of money has been raised and we hope to see everyone again in November at our Halloween-themed quiz.”
Rockinghorse is the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, in Brighton, and a vital supporter of the Trevor Mann Baby Unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
