The long-running Treason Show has moved to a new home in Brighton – at the end of the pier!
The satirical comedy show goes live at Horatio’s, the bar on the Palace Pier, for the first time next week – with performances on Friday 23 March and Saturday 24 March.
The show, now in its 18th year with a fresh script every month, ran at Komedia for its first nine years.
Since then the show has gone on the road, playing at places like the Latest Music Bar, the Old Market, the Pavilion Theatre and the Rialto.
The cast and crew have enjoyed a residency at the Ropetackle in Shoreham and are hoping to make newly refurbished Horatio’s their home in Brighton.
The show’s founder, director and not-always-fully-dressed star Mark Brailsford said: “We’ve been described as a Brighton institution – and the pier certainly is – so it should be a good fit.
“We’ve been nomadic for so long that this is a very important move for us and, potentially, to the best venue since our Komedia days.
“We’ve got a fantastic and very loyal audience and I hope as many of them as possible will come and see us where we belong – in a genuine institution!”
Tickets cost £15 (£10 concessions). There’s a meal deal too, with £25 covering a ticket for the show and a fish and chip dinner.
Doors open at 7pm for an 8.30pm show. For dates and tickets, click here.
