I wouldn’t want you to ‘bust a blood vessel’ in trying to grab last minute tickets for this concert, so I am informing everyone now! However, if you have already grabbed yours, then you can tell me to ‘Lip Up Fatty’.
What exactly am I getting at? Well, those lovely people at The Big Blue Shed concert promoters have gone and secured a date with the one and only ska revivalists Bad Manners.
The band who formed in Manor House, North London in 1976 and fronted by Douglas Trendle aka Buster Bloodvessel will be appearing at the Con Club in Lewes on Sunday 15th April. They loved the venue when they appeared there in 2017 and so are coming back again. They more than likely loved the venue as it sold out last time and I have a very strong suspicion that it will do the same this time around.
Bad Manners were at the top of their game from 1980 to 1983, but nowadays people can still remember their legendary Top Of The Pops performances after all these years. The band amassed 12 singles on the UK Chart covering a period of 111 weeks.
So put the date in your diary and order your tickets online HERE or drop into Union Music Store in Lewes to put up physical tickets. When you arrive at the venue you can grab yourself a ‘Tequila’ or ‘Special Brew’ or two and then do the ‘Can Can’ to your heart’s content, in the knowledge that your mates that didn’t bother coming have ‘Got No Brains’.
