The Brighton Acoustic Session returns tomorrow (Monday 5 March), promising harmony and humour with John and Di Cullen.
They will be playing at the Lord Nelson, in Trafalgar Street, Brighton.
When John Cullen was a young folk singer and guitarist – a few years after decimalisation – he took on the Grapevine, a bar in Tunbridge Wells.
There he set up a regular folk evening and frequently performed with his then fiancée Di.
A few years have passed and, since their retirement from running the Beacon Hotel (and Folk Club), they have hit the ground running.
They are busier than ever as a duo, as well as with their new quartet – Four Gone Confusion.
Expect humorous and poignant songs, excellent delivery and accompaniment as John and Di Cullen aim to ensure that their first performance at the Lord Nelson isn’t their last.
The Brighton Acoustic Session takes place on the first Monday of the month at the Lord Nelson.
The doors open at 7.30pm. Entry is free – although there is a collection.
