A man from Brighton has become the fourth person to die as a result of a helicopter crash in the Grand Canyon.
Jon Udall was on honeymoon with 29-year-old Ellie Milward. She is still critically ill in hospital in Las Vegas.
The crash on Saturday 10 February claimed the lives of Brighton car salesman Stuart Hill, who was celebrating his 30th birthday, his girlfriend Becky Dobson, 27, and his brother Jason Hill, 32, from Worthing.
They died at the scene, with bad weather leaving the survivors waiting for about eight hours to be rescued from the remote spot.
The five were with another friend, Jennifer Barham, 39, also from Britain, who was also injured in the crash – as was the pilot, Scott Booth, 42.
News of the death of Mr Udall was shared on a crowdfunding page.
It said: “It is with a very heavy heart that I must type this.
“Our good friend Jon Udall has succumb to his injuries. He was strong, brave and I will never forget him. Ellie is critical and is continuing to fight.”
They were in a Eurocopter EC130 helicopter which crashed and caught fire after the pilot lost control in strong winds as he brought the helicopter in to land.
