Just hours before firefighters were due to stage a high rise exercise, their skills were put to the test for real when a fire broke out at Embassy Court.
Crews from Preston Circus, Roedean, Newhaven and Lewes were sent to the 11-storey art deco block on Kings Road on Tuesday night after multiple 999 calls were received.
The aerial ladder platform was used along with two main jets and four breathing apparatus.
Paramedics were called as a precaution, but nobody needed treatment and nobody was missing.
The following day, crews from the same stations carried out a high rise exercise in North Street.
Later that evening, firefighters from Hove and Brighton were sent to a home on Kings Way in Hove where they released someone stuck in a lift.
And this morning at 6:24am, firefighters from Brighton attended a flooding affecting electrics at a residential property on Grosvenor Street, Brighton. Firefighters isolated the flood and carried out a Home Safety Visit.
