A teenage girl was injured in a hit and run in Peacehaven on Friday evening (26 January).
Sussex Police said today (Monday 29 January): “Police are seeking the driver of a car which failed to stop after a collision with a teenage girl in Peacehaven.
“Shortly after 6.30pm on Friday the 17-year-old girl was in collision with the car in South Coast Road, Peacehaven, at the junction with Downland Avenue.
“The girl sustained a leg injury for which she was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital and discharged on the same evening.”
PC Becky Knight, of the Surrey and Sussex Road Policing Unit, said: “We have no description of the car or driver at this time.
“Anyone who saw what happened or who knows who the driver may be is asked to contact us online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1175 of 26/01.”
Over the weekend fire crews dealt with another crash, in Brighton, and a car fire in Bevendean.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “On (Saturday) 27 January at 8.10pm, firefighters from Roedean attended an RTC in Upper Abbey Road, Brighton. Crews made the scene safe and the incident was left with the police.
“On (Sunday) 28 January at 3.21am, firefighters from Brighton attended a car fire on Norwich Drive, Brighton. Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire.”
