A man has been arrested after an attack outside a bookmakers in the centre of Brighton.
Sussex Police issued an appeal for witnesses today (Friday 26 January).
The force said: “The incident, involving two men, occurred in the vicinity of Paddy Power in North Street at about 1.50pm on Monday (22 January).
“No injuries were reported. However, officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed what happened.
“Anyone with any information is asked to report it online or call 101 quoting serial 646 of 22/01.
“Alternatively, you can visit the Crimestoppers website or contact the independent charity anonymously on 0800 555111.”
An unemployed man, Neal Hudders, 35, was arrested and has been charged with affray, attempted wounding with intent and threatening a person with a knife in public.
Hudders, of no fixed address, has been remanded in custody until his trial at Lewes Crown Court on Tuesday 20 February.
