Classes at Varndean College have been cancelled last night and today after a serious power outage.
Sixth form students were sent home early yesterday after the electricity went off near the end of the last lesson of the day, and adult education lessons that evening were cancelled.
Students were later told not to come in today, although staff are still at the college. Adult education classes are expected to go ahead as normal this evening.
The college tweeted this morning: “Due to power supply issues the college is closed to students today (Wednesday), although adult education classes will run as planned tonight.”
