A group of women are suspected of assaulting a number of people outside a burger bar in the centre of Brighton.
Sussex Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on several men and women, aged 18 to 35, who were attacked in North Street, Brighton, on Friday 15 December.
“The victims were in the area of Burger King when the assault by a group of young women took place between 12.30am and 1.10am.”
Detective Constable Thomas Duffy, investigating, said: “I am keen to speak with anyone who was approached by these women or assaulted while outside or near to Burger King that morning.”
A 21-year-old woman from Hove was arrested on suspicion of assault and later released under investigation.
Officers also arrested a 28-year-old man, of no fixed address, on suspicion of assault and of having cannabis.
He was released under investigation but then rearrested because he was wanted on recall to prison.
Sussex Police said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to send details online or phone 101, quoting serial 38 of 15/12.
