One of the most popular lollipop ladies in Brighton and Hove is retiring after 18 years’ service.
Helen Reynolds hangs up her pole on the last day of autumn term tomorrow (Wednesday 20 December).
Mrs Reynolds has been patrolling the junction between Millers Road and Highcroft Villas for the past 18 years.
One parent told Brighton and Hove News: “Helen is cheery in all weathers and knows the name of every child on her beat – even those who have moved on to senior school and beyond.
“Everyone at Stanford Infant and Junior Schools and also pupils who have moved on to Cardinal Newman wish her a very long and happy retirement.”
