Sunday will be a good day for staying at home as strong winds are expected to gust over the south coast.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning from 4am to 7pm, when gusts of up to 70mph are expected to move east across the far south of the country.
However, with temperatures forecast at 9C during the day, we are not expected to see the snowfalls due to hit the rest of the country.
The warning says: “A spell of strong winds is expected to move east across the far south of England and Wales on Sunday morning. Some short term loss of power and other services is possible, as well as some delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges.
“It is likely that some coastal routes, sea front and coastal communities affected by spray and/or large waves.
“A spell of strong winds is expected to move east across the far south of the UK. Gusts of 50 mph are likely quite widely, with 60 mph gusts in places and up to 70 mph at times in the most exposed coastal locations.”
