A teenage boy from Brighton has been charged with raping a 14-year-old girl he had known for years.
The boy was 13 when he is said to have raped the girl at his home.
He denies the charge.
The boy, who is 14 now, was, according to the girl, “like a brother”.
In an interview recorded on DVD and played at Brighton Youth Court the girl said that he attacked her during a sleepover at his house.
They had been watching a film together in his bedroom, she said, adding: “We were laying down just having a conversation.
“He brought up his ex-girlfriend and he was slagging her off.
“He kissed me and I pushed him off me and said I didn’t want to.
“He pushed me down and I was pushing him off me.
“I said you’re like a brother to me. I don’t want it to be like that.
“He went on top of me and he pulled my trousers down and I was crying at that point and just begging him to get off of me.
“He basically raped me. He forced me into having sex with him.
“I was pushing and hitting him and begging him to get off of me.
“I waited for him to go to sleep then I got my things and went off home.
“He’s someone I grew up with as a kid. He was someone that I trusted.”
She said that she told him “no” when he kissed her and as she struggled to get him off her.
The whole thing was over in about 10 seconds, she added.
They didn’t speak afterwards although later, she said, he apologised.
She saved a Snapchat message referring to what had happened which was handed to Sussex Police.
The trial before District Judge Tessa Szagun continues.
