Three schoolboys have been arrested after a 31-year-old man was attacked in a street in the centre of Brighton in the early hours of the morning.
Sussex Police said: “Police are appealing for witnesses to a night-time street attack in Brighton.
“The victim, a 31-year old Brighton man, was attacked in North Street, Brighton between 12.15am and 12.30am on Sunday (8 October) while walking home from an evening out and sustained a swollen jaw, fat lip, cuts to nose and the area around his eyes.
“Nothing was stolen.
“Two 14-year old boys, one from Hove and one from Brighton, and a 13-year-old boy from Hove, were arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm.
“After being interviewed they were released under investigation.”
PC Gemma Parsons said: “Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police online or call 101, quoting serial 46 of 08/10.”
