Police in Brighton and Manchester are searching for 39-year-old Anthony Harrison, who is sought for recall to prison after breaching the terms of his early release licence.
Harrison, who previously lived at Victoria Terrace in Hove, was released from prison in July this year, part of the way through a three-year sentence for a burglary in Hove.
Police have been asked by the probation service to locate Harrison and return him to prison.
He has lived in Brighton but also has family in the Chorlton-cum-Hardy and Wythenshawe area of south Manchester and is believed to have been in that area recently.
Serial burglar Harrison was previously sentenced to two and a half years at Lewes Crown Court in July 2013 for breaking into two houses in Marine Avenue and Seafield Road in 2012 and 2013.
Harrison is white, 5ft 9in, with light brown hair and green eyes.
Anyone who sees him or who knows where he is, should contact police online or by calling 101, quoting Sussex serial 1051 of 01/08.
